El maestro debe bajar hasta el nivel del estudiante. Este

proceso se llama ‘descenso’. No significa abandonar lo más alto y

llegar al suelo. Sólo consiste en aceptar el nivel del beneficiario.

Un bebé en el piso no puede saltar a los brazos de su madre, si ella

lo llama a que suba. “Soy una gran persona. No me inclinaré”. Si la

madre tiene este sentimiento, no puede poseer ese hijo. El que una

persona se incline no la hace pequeña. Tampoco se rebaja el maestro

cuando se inclina hasta el nivel del alumno, para enseñarle. Es sólo

un laudable signo de amor.

is to be benefited. The baby on the floor cannot jump in to the arms

of the mother, when she calls upon it to come up. “I am a great

person. I will not stoop”- if the mother feels like that, she cannot

possess the child. Stooping does not make a person small. The teacher

too, is not demeaning himself when he comes down to the level of the

pupil in order to teach him. It is only a laudable sign of love.
