Ni siquiera la casa más confortable, equipada con todos los lujos que
ansía el ser humano; ni siquiera pilas de tesoros, son capaces de
dotarnos de Shanti (Paz). Shanti sólo puede ganarse mediante la
entrega a Dios, qu¡en es el auténtico núcleo de nuestro ser, la
verdadera fuente de toda vida y sustento. Considera esto: ¿tienen paz
los afortunados que poseen oro, propiedades y comodidades? ¡NO! ¿Están
en paz consigo mismos y con el mundo las personas de alta erudición, o
extraordinaria belleza, o fuerza física sobrehumana? ¡NO! ¿Cuál es la
razón para la situación deplorable de esas personas? La razón es: han
olvidado la base divina de la Creación; han ignorado al Principio
Absoluto Subyacente. Todas las vidas vividas sin fe ni devoción al
Señor Supremo y Único, son despreciables; las vidas transcurridas sin
probar el néctar del Principio Divino son todas oportunidades
desperdiciadas.

Even the most comfortable house equipped with all the luxuries man
craves for; even heaps of treasures are helpless to endow one with
Shanti (Peace). Shanti can be won only by surrender to God, who is the
very core of one's being, the very source of all life and living.
Consider this: Are those lucky enough to possess wealth, gold,
property and comfort having Shanti? NO! Are persons of high
scholarship or extraordinary beauty or super-human physical strength
at peace with themselves and the world? NO! What is the reason for the
misery of even these people? The reason is: they have forgotten the
Divine basis of Creation; they have ignored the one Absolute
Underlying Principle. All lives lived without faith and devotion to
the One Supreme Overlord are despicable; lives spent without tasting
the Nectar of the Divine Principle are all wasted chances.
